I have made many road trips as the Grateful Traveler and one recently took me to Litchfield, Ct. to visit the wonderful Mayflower Grace. Hungry (as usual) we stopped at Patty’s Restaurant to find one of the best American breakfast establishments. Inexpensive, hearty food and prepared like a famous chef would on a sunday morning for their own family!
Poached Eggs but made with a grilled tomato and avocado on a grilled english muffin topped with a light hollandaise that was made to taste like it was whipped from a lemon tree fairy!
Patty’s is on Rt 202 in Litchfield and if you are anywhere near…eat there. Fresh eggs from the owner’s raised chickens and award-winning pancakes too.
