Ivo Tzankov’s Grandmother’s Homemade Sangria Recipe
MS Beatrice Bartender, Danube River Cruise
Recipe for 1 Jug (approx. 2 Liter)
1.5 liter expensive red wine
1 green apple
Cinnamon (generous pinch)
1 shot limoncello or Amaretto (optional)
• Cut the citrus fruits in small pieces.
Place in jug with the wine, brandy
and cinnamon. Leave in refrigerator
for 24 hours.
• Serve by pouring in tall glass and
top with Sprite or 7Up then add a
shot of limoncello or Amaretto liquor
