Terms for requests, quotes and reserved rooms

These terms apply to this website and to the quote service of The Grateful Traveler LLC, a Michigan limited liability company at 28400 Northwestern Hwy, Suite 140, Southfield, MI 48034. Last updated October 31, 2026.

What the service is

We plan stays at Michigan lodgings, write quotes, and after your written acceptance ask the lodging to reserve a room in your name. The contract for the room is between you and the lodging, under the lodging's rules, rates and cancellation terms.

Prices on the site

Every price on this site is a from figure built from a working rate for a named month. It is an estimate for planning. The binding price is the one the lodging confirms for your dates, which the quote shows with taxes and any nightly fee before you accept.

Payment and fees

No payment is taken on this website. You pay the lodging directly. The office charges the traveler nothing; the lodging pays the office a commission after the stay.

Shipping and returns

Nothing physical is sold or shipped, so shipping terms do not apply. Changes and refunds of a stay follow the lodging's terms, as explained on the cancellation page.

Your part

Please give accurate names, dates and contact details, and read each quote before you accept it. You drive yourself and are responsible for your own vehicle, route and timing.

Responsibility of each party

Lodgings run their own premises and services and answer for them. The office answers for passing your request, your acceptance and your changes on accurately and on time. To the extent Michigan law allows, the office is not liable for a lodging's acts or for events outside its control, such as weather or road closures.

Tools from another company

We may later add a trip search tool run by another company. If we do, that company's own terms apply to its tool, and this page will say so before it goes live.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts serving Oakland County, Michigan, unless the law gives you another choice.

Revisions and their dates

We update this page when the service changes and change the date at the top. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that stay.
